Every year, I say I will participate in INKTober… it’s a fun challenging way to exercise drawing (and inking) muscles you may or may not have. And… each year I miss the first day.  I mean, if you miss the first day how would it look to start in the middle?  So, I never get going.

THIS YEAR IS DIFFERENT… which is the understatement of all understatements.

Announcing the BOBtober challenge! And it’s open to one and all… for FUN!

I HAVE TO EMPHASIZE THAT THIS IS NOT A CONTEST… just a challenge… and something fun to do in the midst of everything NOT fun around us. A way to steal a few moments away from thinking about current events… drawing does that for me… and I know it can do that for a lot of other people.

  1. Each day in October will have a different one word theme. The theme list (and these rules) can be found below or by clicking here. Use that theme to draw Bob the Squirrel. You don’t have to use ink, but you can only use one color or black to draw. You can use the same tool or media every day or a different one every day… that’s all up to you.
  2. Post your finished drawing to Instagram, Facebook or Twitter using the hashtags: #bobtober #bobtober2020.  I’ll be doing the same, as well as posting images in a gallery on this page.
  3. If you want to do them all, go ahead. If you want to do one a week, go ahead… don’t be afraid to post anything… this isn’t supposed to create anxiety… it’s karaoke drawing… just have fun with it!

NOTE: Members of the BOB THE SQUIRREL PATREON COMMUNITY will see the drawings well in advance of the day they’re posted. If you want that sneak peek, BECOME A $5.00 MEMBER OF THE BOB THE SQUIRREL COMMINUTY!
