Lezley and I would like to thank everyone who attended our wedding. This special day was made all the more special surrounded by those that we care about and who care about us. The outpouring, via social media, overflowing with well wishes was overwhelming as well.

It still blows my mind how something that took so long to plan seemed to go by in an instant.

Our wedding took months to plan. The planning wheels were set in motion literally HOURS after I proposed… in December 2013. It started as a snowflake; a small intimate affair with only immediate family. By January, the snowflake became a snowball. By March and April the snowball became a… well, you get the idea. Throughout the metamorphosis, we wondered if it could be pulled off. The details. The planning. The money. The dress. The money. The venue. The money. No matter how deep we were, I knew that if we paired it down, we’d regret it. Neither one of us planned on doing this twice. If it’s a solo shot, be sure to make it a damn good one.

On the day of the wedding, it rained. And rained. And rained. If I had to pick a bad thing about our wedding day, that would be the only thing. The ONLY thing. Other than the rain, nothing went wrong. Cakes weren’t destroyed. Rings weren’t lost. Food didn’t spoil. I didn’t cry uncontrollably. Lezley didn’t throw up.

I was happy from the moment I opened my eyes that morning.

And when I turned to see Lezley for the first time? Those opened eyes became filled with tears… of happiness, joy and even disbelief. How was it even possible that she could be more beautiful than she already was? This was the woman I would spend the rest of my life with… this amazingly breathtaking creature that apparently wanted to marry ME!

Wow. Just. Wow.

Did I mention that everything was perfect?

So, Lezley and I begin a new chapter in our lives. A chapter that looks remarkably like previous chapters, with the only change being that our love is stronger than it has ever been. I wish there was another word or phrase I could use to express how much I love her.

“I love you” after October 18, 2014, just doesn’t seem to be enough.

Thank you all again.

Individual Thank You cards will be on their way shortly.

Thanks.
