have you ever had one of those days where you don't know what face to wear? you look into the mirror and you don;t know who you want to be? maybe, it doesn't matter---because no matter who you make yourself, you won't be satisfied. so why bother?

this is a big one. it's the world in a urinal. somtimes you just need to be obvious.

i came to the realization with this piece that i was a cartoonist--- and no amount of trying to be real was going to shake that.

this painting shows lonliness. my fiance was away for a few days and i didn't think it would affect me as much as it did.

in keeping with the theme of "what's in front of frank" i decided to paint one of my drawing board lamps. i think i look at this lamp more than i look at anything else in my life. i haven't really gotten into the "introspective" groove yet--- but in the 49 pieces i have yet to paint, i'm sure it'll only be a matter of time.

and so the madness begins.

i got a little ahead of myself by doing two paintings---i'm very excited about what i my produce this year. i already have the Rome Art and Community Center lined up to display the complete 52 piece show in August 2007. way cool!

the self portrait was a bit of a departure for me. i rarely to anything realistically. it took me about 4 days off and on to complete---almost an eternity compared to what my normal time frame is.

#2 took me only a few hours. when you hit a stride go with it before you trip over something.
